Living in a small town I longed for a car wash business that attended to details both inside and outside a vehicle. I like a clean vehicle for myself but also for my clients. Clean cars seem to run better. Clean cars say something about the owner. I had heard about mobile auto wash and detailing but could not envision a really clean vehicle from a mobile unit. We first heard of Andy Cailliau’s auto detailing service when we moved to Payson a year ago. The wonderfully OCD folks from whom we bought our house were kind enough to leave us a tidy business card file on all of the local businesses and services they endorsed. Andy’s card was at the top of the first page. When I asked the owners about Andy, they raved about his work.
I’d always taken some pride in detailing my own vehicles in the past, but I had never encountered hard water like we have here! That plus the fact we lack a shady place to wash the cars led me to the conclusion I was going to need “professional help”.
I was both surprised and extremely pleased to learn that Andy comes to your house to detail your cars! What could be easier or more convenient than that? And the price is very reasonable.
When Andy first arrived, I was impressed to see a spotlessly clean work truck – with a giant tank of water in the back. Andy took the time to explain to me the double filtration process he uses to get clean, spot free water for his work. He said that the lack of shade would pose no problem for him.
I admit I was beginning to feel a tiny bit inadequate as an auto detailing enthusiast, at this point. Double filtration just to get the right kind of water?!? But, that was nothing compared to the sense of personal inadequacy I experienced when I saw the results of Andy’s work.
Our SUV had not been washed in six weeks, plus it had a 1600 mile cross country trip on it since last seeing a water hose. Our Jeep was, well, a Jeep, and had all of the mud, dust, grime, and Arizona pinstripes on it one associates with a Jeep. Yet, when Andy finished, both vehicles looked literally showroom new, inside and out. I was especially concerned about the light carpets in the SUV ever coming clean, but clean they were. Not a water spot, anywhere. My best personal efforts could not compare, frankly, to Andy’s work. I’ve paid for more than a few full house professional auto detailings in the past, but I’ve never seen work this good.
My estimation of myself as a car detailing buff has never recovered from this. I have not washed either car, since. But Andy has, fortunately, and they both continue to look great.
